With over 25 years of experience working with international fashion houses like Armani, Guess, Harley-Davidson and many more, Kalpana decided to create a space where her skills and love for Indian art could blend with everyday living. As her name suggests, she is an active bundle of imagination and creativity, drawing inspiration from the unusual and the ordinary, from classical tradition and jazzy modernity and from Indian and Western sensibilities.

The vision was simple yet powerful: to keep Indian traditional art alive, from Warli and Madhubani to Kalamkari and Gond, while also making it a part of modern lifestyles. Every creation is handmade with love, carrying a balance of design, culture and utility.

The brand has showcased art through paintings, home décor, greeting cards, stone art, aroma candles, magnetic art and designer trunks. These works have been exhibited at art galleries, festivals and cultural events across India, earning appreciation for their originality, quality and aesthetic value. The design sensibility shines through in the brand’s craft pieces, which, though handmade, can be produced in larger quantities. Founded by Kalpana Shenoy in 2017, the brand was born out of her desire to create a space where her skills and love for I art could blend seamlessly with everyday living. With over 25 years of experience working with international fashion houses like Chico’c , Armani, Miss Sixty , Guess, Harley-Davidson and many more, Kalpana brings a unique vision to every creation. As her name suggests, she is an active bundle of imagination and creativity, drawing inspiration from the unusual and the ordinary, from classical tradition and jazzy modernity and from Indian and Western sensibilities.

And how does she manage all this single-handedly? With her team of talented artisans and crafts persons who can be depended on to ensure quality and timely delivery.

And because she has herself been trained at the prestigious Sophia Polytechnic, Mumbai. And is therefore qualified to create a range of paintings — from landscapes to still-lifes, from portraits to narratives full of people, from abstract bursts of colour to solemn moments of quietitude

While she handles the paintings and original artworks herself, her understanding of design was sharpened at the number of years she spent working in design studios of Export Houses who handled product styling and manufacturing for global brands like Armani, Guess, Harley-Davidson, with stringent quality demands.

It is this design sensibility that comes into play when she fashions her craft pieces that are handmade but can be produced in larger quantities.
